Holt Executive are currently partnered with a global leading communication which is going through a significant change period within their Commercial and Product Management function.

Our partner is looking for a Director, Digital Product Management to lead a team responsible for the strategy and the product business plan to monetise the data and network capability beyond connectivity across all of our clients vertical markets. This role includes P&L ownership

Key Responsibilities for the Director, Digital Product Management :

  • Ownership of the Digital product roadmap
  • Accountable for developing new product business plan aligned with the product strategy and commercial framework
  • Accountable for the product roadmap(s) In support of the overall Digital Product Business Plan
  • Owns the alignment of the group activities around the product business plan
  • Accountable for the Digital P&L
  • Develop new avenues to further monetize Inmarsat’s network capability to support both our indirect and direct businesses.
  • Develop relationships with new partners such as OEMs and other partners to monetise the data on our network.
  • Owns relationships with digital partners
  • Determine and develop business plans for OTT services such as IPTV, advertising, operational data monetization etc.
  • Accountable to deliver new/enhanced product requirements (MRD) for development that are driven by quantified customer needs and deliver more value vs. the next best alternative.
  • Develop and deliver the product business plan (activities / financial / operational KPIs to ensure product success from introduction to retirement)
  • Ensure proper product in life cycle management including product evolution to meet the business plan targets / KPIs
  • Lead / coordinate support required to end of life activities

Develop new business models and risk reward frameworks

Key Experience Required for the Director, Digital Product Management:

  • Strong understanding of the current and future competitive landscape
  • Experience with VAMs and or other developments specifically related to Satcom
  • Experience in Business Development with VAMs and/or OEMS (airframer, shipbuilders, etc.)
  • Must demonstrate strong Commercial Acumen
  • Experience in leading and managing a team with technical expertise
  • Experience in contributing to product strategy and roadmap
  • Pragmatic and results focussed – a ‘self-starter’ who can take a ‘blank sheet of paper’ and rapidly deliver an approach and tangible outputs
  • Data driven – highly numerate and analytical
  • Excellent stakeholder management – at a senior management and executive level
  • A strong communicator with excellent influencing skills
  • Fluent in English language
  • Experience in Over the Top (OTT) services such as IPTV, Cellular/WiFi roaming, Digital Advertising, OEM Data Delivery etc. is desired.
